ALCiS® Racing Team Breaks Records at Wildflower Triathlon
ALCiS Daily Relief Pain Cream Allows Athletes to Train Full-Throttle for Triathlon Season
San Jose, Calif. – May 8, 2008–The ALCiS Racing Team made significant strides at the 2008 Avia Wildflower Triathlon on Saturday. ALCiS’ Nicholas Thompson was crowned ‘Overall Men’s Amateur Champion’ as he broke the all-time men’s amateur course record by over four minutes (4:15:34). ALCiS’ Lauren Swigart was crowned ‘Overall Women’s Amateur Champion’ as the fastest female and broke her age group record by 15 minutes (4:50:30). Both participated in the long course event.
ALCiS Racing’s newest member, Heather Jackson, took second place in her age group (5:04:21), second only to the fastest female in the race, Lauren Swigart. ALCiS’ Mark Pietrofesa dominated the Olympic course event as he crossed the finish line a full 10 minutes ahead of the rest of his age group (2:08:13).
“I trained hard all winter and it’s very satisfying to see the hard work payoff in my first race of the year,” said Swigart. “I’m pleased that I performed so well. However, it’s a long season, so the keys to a successful year are staying focused, staying healthy and continuing to use ALCiS Daily Relief. I don’t just wear the ALCiS shirt in races, I use ALCiS Daily Relief when training and competing to help with better performance and recovery after workouts.”
“If ALCiS Daily Relief works for these extreme athletes, others should feel confident it can provide temporary relief of their nagging aches and pains,” said Brian Berchtold, president and CEO of ALCiS Health, Inc. “We sponsor ALCiS Racing because we believe that ALCiS Daily Relief can positively assist the team by reducing sore muscles and stiffness which result from tough workouts. They demonstrate that pain doesn’t have to sideline people, no matter what their age or gender.”
